Space Waves is a vibrant side-scrolling arcade game. You control a small arrow navigating through a dangerous neon tunnel. The arrow moves forward automatically at a steady speed. You must click or tap to make the ship fly upward. Releasing your touch allows the arrow to fall back down. This creates a zigzag motion that you must use to pass through gaps.
The space tunnel is full of sharp spikes and rotating gears. Some walls will even move or slide as you get closer to them. You must watch the screen carefully to predict these movements. Enemy spaceships will also appear to block your way forward. A single crash will force you to start the level from the beginning.
You can find various power-ups in the levels. Some items will slow down time to help you navigate tight spots. Other boosts provide a shield that makes you invincible for a short time. It is essential for beating the harder world maps. Use your firepower to clear out enemies that stand in your path.
Try to maintain a small zigzag pattern to stay in the center of the screen. Save your invincibility boosts for sections with many rotating gears. Do not look at the background flashes because they can distract your eyes. Focus your gaze slightly ahead of your arrow to see incoming walls early.
